Donna Alford

 
A child prodigy brought up in church Donna can really sing. Truly blessed with the gift of song she has been known to deliver a melody that can touch the hearts of many. Having to her credit in addition to the nearly 17 years performing with the Soft Spoken Band are recordings of  numerous jingles and commercials. She is also responsible for the vocal harmonies that the SSB is noted for. Donna has been nominated for a Syracuse Area Music Award (SAMMY) three times. She also sings for ceremonies and events.  
 
Recently (09?06) Donna launched the Donna Alford JaSSBand or simply 'DA JaSSBand.  Immediately available for bookings this unit plays only your real favorites.  Ala Anita, Aretha, Chaka, Ella, Gladys, Luther, Stevie ....

    • Amazing! Absolutely amazing. I am new to Syracuse but have been around the industry for 7 yrs. My ex is a great bass player in a well known (on Long Island, Jersey & downstate NY) amazing "classic rock" band. They have played the Riverhead Blues festival & opened for and played through out an Islanders game in Nassau Coliseum. The bass player also played Magic City Music Hall in Binghamton, NY. Just letting you know that I know something about good music. I have heard numerous local bands and there are maybe 3-4 that I really care for. Great sound, great musicians & that perfect sound!! Know what I mean??? You are now added to my repertoire of amazing bands. Ad Al's great atmosphere and viola! What a beautiful evening with beautiful music that touched my soul. Lyndell
